Life is governed by principles. The law of sowing and reaping is a generic principle that applies to every aspect of our lives. For crops to produce well, the soil must be right and the environment must be appropriate.
Similarly, for us to be able to think productively, the environment has to be conducive. No matter how busy you are, you need to cultivate the culture or habit of making out time to be quiet and to meditate.
There is no hard and fast rules regarding the time of the day when you should meditate. However, early in the morning is more feasible for most people – before the noise begins; before the daily hustling and bustling starts. The point is that you have to avoid distraction.
An effective way of preparing your mind to receive creative inspiration is by first studying scriptures and praying. This prepares your spirit. Then just relax; stay quiet. Before you begin to do all this, ensure you have a notebook (or sheet of paper) and a pen ready – to document any idea you would receive. Be attentive. Write down the idea you receive.
